ONBOARDING
‘Employee Onboarding’ is one of the most important processes for any organization and the employees too. In order to make a new employee acquainted with the organization, it’s important to let him/her know about his/her role.
Therefore, the process is a bit extensive. However, at the end of the day, it’ll only help the employee to know the organization in a better way. Every organization creates its own personalized onboarding process as new employees keep on entering the organization. So, the onus is on the company to take care of the employee and make him/her familiar with the work.
Phases one
Pre-arrival
Phase One deals with pre-arrival which means to create a dynamic design so that the onboarding process is simply smooth for the new hire. In order to be accurate with this phase, the documentation must be done prior. So, in this way, when the new employee arrives at the organization, he/she have plenty of time to be productive. Also, it’s very important to greet the new hires in an exceptional manner so that they do not feel out of the place. Therefore, it’s important to build a connection between the new hires and the employer.
Phase two
First Impression
Phase Two is all about making the new hire feel at home! They should not feel like an outsider. Hence, it is important to make the new hires feel comfortable while they are working as it would increase their confidence. This is why the first week of a fresh employee is extremely crucial.
Phase three – Training Program
It’s important to make the employee feel easy. Hence, overburdening him/her is not the right thing to do. In the first month, the new hire must get rightful training. So, when an employer trusts the new hires, the employee will also take initiatives to prove themselves worthy of the job. So, an employer must prepare training goals for the new employee so that he/she could be trained perfectly. An effective training program is important for not only the employer but for the employee as well. It helps the employer to judge the skills of new hires.
